After years in consulting, we kept seeing the same thing: businesses pouring real money into technology that didn't fit how they actually worked, and didn't respect the people using it. So we started Populus to do it differently. We build systems that make a business run as one connected operation instead of a pile of tools that don't talk to each other.
Populus is the tree behind Pando, a single organism made of thousands of stems that all share one root system. One living thing, working as one. That's the idea.

Serges Himbaza
Founder & Managing Partner
Serges started Populus with a conviction: that a services business should run on a single operating system its owner truly owns, shaped around how the company actually works instead of forced into someone else's software. He sees what a business can become before it does, and treats every one as if it were his own — the extreme ownership Populus is built on. After two years at Microsoft, he spent more than eight years in enterprise consulting and running his own firm, delivering Dynamics 365 CRM and ERP for Fortune 500 clients like Ford and Sony Pictures and a $1.3B construction analytics platform — experience that taught him to see the whole business, not just the software, and to own the outcome end to end. It's why Populus is built around how a company really works, rather than the other way around. Serges holds a B.S. in Quantitative Economics from Duke University, with additional coursework in leveraged buyouts and agentic AI. He serves on the board of STEM is for Everyone and is interim director of the Onyx Black Wealth Collective.

Christophe Jobin
Senior Advisor
Christophe leads business development and design, and he's the first point of contact for most of the businesses we work with. He joined Populus through its 2026 acquisition of Flowvio, the design and development studio he founded, and brings more than seven years across founder-operator roles and enterprise digital work.
